Pleasant soap opera style look at a small town in Wales on the verge of World War II Lots of small town shenanigans adultery, secret love affairs, will they or won t they engagements, petty theft, etc Tons of characters but a very easy read.

It took a bit of doing to sort out all the characters but by about halfway through I had it mostly sorted in a list on paper so that I could refer to who was who, after that was done I really got into the flow of the story and have now purchased the second book and look forward to enjoying that but I am keeping my list so that I can still keep track of who is who But yes I did enjoy the book Worth working on.
