I love poetry, but I don t consider myself anything of an expert on it Poetry to me, especially when I write it, is something personal and private, and utterly raw With so few words, you tend to have to go straight for the point, which I think a lot of people don t necessarily understand Jackson Dean Chase is excellent at getting straight to the point and though this book of poetry has a lighthearted topic all poems featuring cats it still packs an incredibly powerful punch I found myself reread [...]
HITS YOU HARD IN THE HEART Jackson Dean Chase really opens his inner self in this poetry book The very first poem, Death of a Scratching Post, grabs your heart and squeezes tight It compares life to a cat and rings so true it brought tears to my eyes, as did many of the others These poems bring real life, for some of us, out into the open and shines a bright light on it You won t be able to put it down until you have finished it, which happens too soon You are left wanting Jackson s poems touch [...]

Loved this There is a profound sensitivity of insight into the way human and cat lives intertwine and how humans are much better off for having their feline friends in their lives Some of the poems were sad, but all came across as true to life What can I say except this is a must for anyone who loves cats I will be looking out for other poetry books by this author.
He had me at meow Wow I was struck completely by surprised with this poetry book I felt as though I was delving into the mind of the author, what I found was beautifully sad I thoroughly loved this book I can t wait for .
