I absolutely loved this book, it brought back so many memories for me as I spent 3 weeks in Orta when I was an 18 year old au pair, working for a fabulous Italian family Denyse s descriptions of Orta are so good, she has obviously been there, and even the mention of other towns in the area brought back memories I had long forgotten Iam now a young pensioner This was the first book of Denyse s I have read and I can t wait to read another.
Loved it Its not often I get time to not put a book down, but I made sure I got plenty of reasons to slope off and read this I really loved it, probably because I am in a similar situation, juggling a relationship over a distance, and juggling families I felt so much of what Marina was going through, and like Marina, needed to hear some home truths Loved ithighly recommend
